Until their 2004 breakup ended a 10-year run, Rearick fronted circus/rock/garage/cabaret band The Coma Savants, which grew up out of Your Mom and Your Mom SRO.
She also drummed and sang with jangly guitar rock band Ladyscissors, also feat. Lorrie Hurckes on guitar and vox, Anne Bull on bass and vox, and Brent George on guitar.
Two of Rearick's songs from The Long Picnic, Cosmic and Folk Tune, were featured in the documentary film Saving Jackie by S.A. Burks, which was screened at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
Rearick won the 2006 Madison Area Music Awards (MAMAs) for Best Unique Album (Star Belly) and the 2004 MAMAs for Best Classical Album (The Bucket Rider) and Best Classical Artist.
